XCOM 2: Shen's Last Gift DLC Review

What I look for in expansions to a dynamic game like XCOM 2 are a means of increasing diversity and opportunities to change up not just my next campaign, but every game thereafter in interesting ways. Shen's Last Gift provides that, substantially adding to XCOM's arsenal with a whole new ultra-heavy soldier class, giving you another optional path to develop your forces along and opening up new (and old) tactics.

These fully robotic Spark units behave a lot like their cyborg counterparts from XCOM: Enemy Within, including the extremely useful unlockable abilities to serve as mobile high cover for their squishier squadmates and of course punch the crap out of aliens. They're immune to fire, poison, and Viper binds. They can wield heavy weapons, effortlessly leap up walls, and be upgraded with the heaviest armor available to us in XCOM 2. They are big, beefy supersoldiers; appropriately, one of their unlockable abilities is Intimidate, which has a chance to panic enemies who attack them.

Blizzard has begun advertising for a game director to "lead the Diablo series into the future".

Reported by BlizzPro, Blizzard's Irvine studio career page added the job yesterday, listing it as "Game Director, Unannounced Project - Diablo".

Blizzard has posted several previous vacancies for the same project, but it was unclear whether that might be a new game, DLC or otherwise. However, the latest listing's call for the applicant to "lead the Diablo series into the future" appears to indicate the former.

The Origins of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

In the three years since a Shin Megami Tensei / Fire Emblem crossover was first announced, the project has changed a lot. Rather than mashing together existing characters from separate games in the style of Persona Q, Atlus instead took a battle system inspired by SMT and spinoff Persona and added Fire Emblem characters to the mix.

In an interview with IGN, Atlus producer Shinjiro Takata and Nintendo designer Hitoshi Yamagami explained how the project evolved from the team's original vision.

Resident Evil 7 Demo's Dummy Finger Doesn't Have a Use... Yet

Only yesterday, Capcom was telling us, "we can't confirm any specifics about the

demo", but at least one mystery seems to have been temporarily solved for us.

In an email to fans who had joined the series' Ambassador Program (reported by Eurogamer), Capcom addressed the ongoing saga of the mannequin digit that's tortured the demo's community - and it seems like it's bad news for now:

IGN UK Podcast #338: Justice League? Wow. OK. Woof

Just what is going on with the first Justice League movie? No one making it seems quite sure of what it's going to be. Thankfully, we have Daniel Krupa, who applies real-life investigative journalism to... make us slightly more confused about it all.

Alongside that, we get our stand-up routines confused as we ask what the deal is with airplane movies, go through an exhaustive list of every movie sequel no one needed in 2016 and then cryptically rhapsodize about Playdead's new Inside which you must play but I won't say why.

Then a listener makes everyone feel a little bit sad about themselves.

Don't forget, we're all donning lycra to run 10k for an incredible charity called SpecialEffect - here's our JustGiving page if you have a few pennies spare!
