Is Faeria the Next Big Collectible Card Game?

Hearthstone is the current king of digital CCGs, but it's by no means the only place to get your fix. The genre as a whole is booming, in fact, with plenty of cool and innovative projects, and one of those is Faeria.

I've spent the last few days getting to know it (and barely scratching the surface), so consider this a basic primer to the game.

According to developer Abrakam, the earliest concepts for Faeria were workshopped way back to 2005, and the game "has been in constant development" since 2010. Faeria made its public debut in 2013, however, with a public beta in September, followed by a successful Kickstarter in November, which raised more than USD $94,000. It's been a very long road since then, but Faeria is now available in early access on Steam and G2A.

E3 2016 has fully wrapped up, but it leaves us with a full year's worth of games - and collector's editions - to look forward to. Or not. Getting merchandise for your favorite franchise as part of a collector's edition is exciting, but sometimes that merch is poorly made, and sometimes it's, well, downright terrifying.

Popular YouTubers Implicated in Counter-Strike Betting Scandal

YouTubers TmarTn and ProSyndicate have been implicated in a scandal surrounding the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive betting scene.

YouTube channel h3h3Productions (in association with HonorTheCall) has alleged that both TmarTn and ProSyndicate have used their channels to advertise a Counter-Strike betting site, CSGO Lotto, without disclosing that they are the site's President and Vice-President respectively.

TmarTn - real name Trevor Martin - has 5 million YouTube subscribers across two channels, while ProSyndicate - real name Thomas Cassell - has 9 million.

Killer Instinct Hints at Perfect Dark, Crackdown, Halo Characters

An official survey about the future of Killer Instinct has revealed some of the guest characters developer Iron Galaxy is toying with including.

The survey (spotted by Inquisitr) includes a question asking users to rank 9 possible new characters by order of preference, including Perfect Dark's Joanna Dark, a Crackdown Agent and a Halo Brute.

Xbox Ultimate Game Sale Begins Tomorrow

The next Xbox Ultimate Game Sale will run from July 5 until July 11.

According to Major Nelson, not only will there be over 250 deals on Xbox One and Xbox 360 games, there will also be discounts on Windows 10 games for the first time in the sale's history.

You'll be able to get some titles at over 60 percent off, and if you're an Xbox Live Gold member, you'll receive an additional 10 percent discount.

9 Delicious Dishes from Final Fantasy XV

When you play Final Fantasy XV this September, get ready to eat. While winning battles will give you experience just the way you'd expect, you'll also earn ingredients that you can use to cook a meal each time your party rests at a camp site.

Better ingredients mean better meals – something hearty like a stew or chicken – and if you haven't collected anything, you'll just get a plate of toast. Either way, your crew will bond around a fire and take some time to rest after a tough day of battle.

"Mealtime is an essential part of bringing the 'friends on the road' concept to life," Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata told IGN. "As you tour the world, you'll sample exotic local dishes together, and meals also play a significant role in gameplay: a day's boosts are determined by what the party ate the night before. Boosts include resistance to poison, enhance stamina, attack buffs, and more, so players can prepare for the day ahead by planning their meals accordingly. As Ignis improves at cooking, he'll add more dishes to his repertoire, offering a variety of boosts."
