Steins;Gate Elite Coming to the West in 2018

Steins;Gate Elite will be released in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year.

Spike Chunsoft shared the news in a post on Twitter, announcing the game is now available for preorder. While a PlayStation Vita version is coming to Japan, it doesn't look like there are plans to release that version in the west.

Steins;Gate Elite is an updated version of the visual novel Steins;Gate, which released in 2009 in Japan and made its way to the west several years later. The new-and-improved release will feature footage from the anime series, as well as new animation for story content not featured in the TV adaptation.

PixelJunk Monsters 2 Coming in May

PixelJunk Monsters 2 has been announced, and you won't have to wait long to play it.

Q-Games and Spike Chunsoft are bringing digital versions of PixelJunk Monsters 2 to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam in North America and Europe. The game will launch May 25 and cost $15. No mention of a physical version have been made.

Fortnite Mobile Is Distracting Kids in School

Fortnite's transition to mobile is causing all sorts of problems in schools, as kids sneak in a match or two during class, bicker over victories and defeats, and ruin the Wi-Fi for everyone else.

Kotaku spoke to a high school AP computer science teacher, Nick Gutierrez, about the surge in kids neglecting their schoolwork in favour of playing the newly released mobile title.

PUBG New Map Details, First Look Revealed

Brendan Greene gave Game Developers Conference attendees a sneak peek at one of two upcoming PUBG maps, a smaller 4x4km island which he described as being "southeast Asia" inspired.

The new island is a lush green forested area with a branching river snaking vertically through the center. In the short clip, Greene showed off a blue lake and an overhead shot of a small village, but stressed that the map was still early in development.

The PUBG 2018 roadmap was revealed earlier this month and made mention of the upcoming 4x4km map, promising "a much more intense and faster paced Battle Royale experience" due to its higher player density.

Dota 2's International Tickets Available Tonight

Tickets to The International Dota 2 tournament will become available again tonight.

Although the morning round of sales are done, there will be another chance for Dota 2 enthusiasts to purchase tickets this evening. Both Midweek and Finals tickets will be on sale, with Midweek tickets costing $125 CAD (around $98 USD), and Finals tickets available for $250 CAD (around $195 USD).

Valve previously announced the following times for ticket sales in major regions, and tickets will be available on Ticketmaster (all times are relative to the location listed).
