Parents across the world are starting to pay for tutors to help their kids develop skills at Fortnite.
The Wall Street Journal wrote an article detailing various parents and their children involved in this phenomenon, interviewing them about their experiences.
Some parents claim they simply don't want their kids losing matches, others are taking lessons for themselves so they aren't so embarrassed when they play the game, and some are even taking lessons alongside their kids as a bonding experience.
A software developer from Texas paid $20 an hour for his 12-year-old son to take Fortnite lessons. The article cites the father's desire for his son to win a scholarship or perhaps to even make some tournament money as his reason behind paying for a tutor. It appears to have worked to a certain degree, with after six hours of lessons a month his son went from winning infrequently to obtaining much more consistent victories.
