The IGN community is huge. It’s massive. Your participation and your comments are critical to making IGN the place it is today, so we’re investing in comments and community at a time when other sites are abandoning comments all together. Often the conversations you have around the story are as interesting and informative as the story itself, and we thank you for that!
We’ve long wanted to do more with our commenting community, but we’ve been limited because we’ve had little control over the platform. Live chats between readers and editors, custom badges to show your interests and status in the community, featured comments in articles in the same manner we embed Tweets or Instagram photos… we’ve wanted to bring all these features and more to you, but have been unable to due to the limitations of our current system.
