Firaxis has announced that XCOM 2 will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on September 6 in North America, and September 9 in the rest of the world.
Firaxis has partnered with The Workshop (porters for The Evil Within among other titles) to bring the game to current-gen systems.
"The incredible reception of XCOM 2 has been rewarding and humbling for the team," said creative director Jake Solomon for a 2K press release, "and we've known console fans have been clamoring to play the game too. As avid console players ourselves, we're excited to work with The Workshop to bring XCOM 2 to all of our fans."
Pre-ordering the game will net players the Resistance Warrior Pack, which offers extra soldier customisation options and a special bonus recruit, a "Survivor of the Old War".
