One man has found four copies of the unreleased Akira Game Boy game.
According to NintendoLife, THQ had plans to release a movie tie-in during the '90s, but details became non-existent. SegaRetro, believes this version of the game was canned early on.
Now, Internet personality and gaming historian Patrick Scott Patterson has uncovered four copies of the game's prototype inside "a large game stash." He also streamed his unboxing of the stash which is embedded below.
It's not clear exactly what the prototype consists of, nor how much of the game was ever made, but Patterson will be performing a Let's Play of one of his copies at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo
