Ubisoft has offered an update on Watch Dogs 2 "seamless multiplayer" feature, which remains disabled two days after its launch. According to Ubisoft, the Watch Dogs 2 development team hopes to turn the multiplayer back on "as soon as this weekend," if their solution works.
In a statement to IGN, a Ubisoft spokesperson said that ensuring the fix "causes no regression to the core single-player experience" is a priority, alongside smoothly integrating the new co-op features.
"To our current players, we sincerely appreciate the support and patience during this process," Ubisoft stated.
Watch Dogs 2's "seamless multiplayer" feature — which should allow randomly synchronized players to meet up in-game, hack each other in a hide-and-seek-style mode, or join the police to hunt down misbehaving players in Bounty Hunts — was disabled shortly before launch due to lag and crashes.
