Nintendo Switch will be region-free, company president Tatsumi Kimishima announced during tonight's Nintendo Switch presentation.
Unlike Wii U and 3DS, game software for Nintendo Switch won't be tied to the region in which it was released.
During the event, Nintendo also announced the price and release date of the upcoming console. Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on March 3, 2017 for $299.99 USD and 29,980 yen.
