EA has announced that Portal co-creator Kim Swift will join Motive as Design Director.
In a blog post on EA's official site, studio head Jade Raymond wrote that Motive "has a mission to innovate and pioneer new ways to play and create worlds that allow for relentless discovery. I couldn't think of a better person than Kim to help us achieve those ambitions."
The post didn't specify which project Swift will work on, though Raymond reiterated that Motive is currently working on a new IP as well as EA's Star Wars projects.
Motive was announced in summer 2015 by Raymond, and at the time the studio was set to work on Uncharted director Amy Hennig's untitled Star Wars project. Since then, EA announced that the studio is also creating its own original IP and working on the Star Wars Battlefront sequel.
