During tonight's Nintendo Switch presentation, Monolith Software unveiled Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Nintendo's upcoming console.
For an early glimpse at Monolith Software's upcoming RPG, which is slated to release sometime in 2017, check out the announcement trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 below.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, players will assume the role of an entirely new hero, who "will seek out Elysium on an immense journey through a brand-new world."
Tetsuya Takahasi, the executive director on the original Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X, is also on board as executive director for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Masatsugu Saito is handling the character design, and the music is being crafted by Chrono Trigger composer Yasunori Mkitsuda, as well as ACE, Kenji Hiramatsu and Manami Kiyota.
