Halo 5 Motion Sensor Could Be Getting Altered

343 Industries is exploring the possibility of altering the Motion Sensor in Halo 5: Guardians and will run a public test next week to gather player feedback.

According to the latest Halo Community Update, the public test will begin on March 9 and will run for "at least a month." During that time, 343 will "gather player feedback and metrics" too see if the new Motion Sensor "has a potential place in Halo 5 going forward as well as potential learnings and implications for future Halo FPS titles."

Halo 5's Motion Sensor has proven to be a point of contention within the competitive community, as some want it removed entirely, while others believe its a crucial part of the experience. In an effort to appeal to both sides, 343 has created a revised Motion Sensor. This new sensor's range has been increased from 18m to 25m and will will only show player activity if someone is firing a non-silenced weapon or using a Spartan ability.
