Rogue One star Mads Mikkelsen once auditioned for the 2015 Fantastic Four reboot, but the direction he was given during it led him to abandoning the audition..
Mikkelsen shared his disastrous audition while doing an interview with Short List, saying that being asked "to pretend to extend his arms like a rubber man" was the last straw for the veteran actor.
"I think I walked out on the Fantastic Four one," Mikkelsen said. "I think I actually said, 'I can't do it. It's not about you, I'm sorry, this is wrong.'"
Mikkelsen's description indicates he was likely auditioning for the role of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic. The part of Reed Richards would go on to be played by Miles Teller in the Josh Trank-directed Fantastic Four reboot. Though the film did not fare well critically or commercially, Teller has said he would do a sequel.
