Pokémon Go studio Niantic has today announced a new event for dedicated Pokémon Go players, which the developer has dubbed its "first-ever Global Catch Challenge."
Players will be challenged to catch a combined three billion Pokémon in just seven days, and there will be a variety of awards unlocked should the community reach key milestones during the challenge.
