Microsoft, with its next-gen Xbox currently known as Project Scarlett, has every intention of having it support four generations of games - the original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and, of course, each new game coming to the platform.
During Inside Xbox, Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed Microsoft's commitment to "respecting the purchases" of its customers and the team's goal to bring every past game over to Project Scarlett, the next-gen Xbox.
Furthering the conversation, IGN spoke to the director of the Xbox Platform Team Jason Ronald and Bill Stillwell, the former lead of Xbox's Backward Compatibility team who is now working on Project xCloud.
