Starbreeze Studios has provided an update on the status of Payday 3, confirming that production is now underway.
As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, the company shared the news in documentation alongside its financial results, saying the next entry in Overkill Software's first-person shooter series is now at the "full design stage," and the development team will be provided ample time to complete the game.
In fact, Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson Klint went so far as to say that Payday 3 will "enjoy as much time as we deem needed," and the game "will be done when it's done." He went on to note that Payday is the company's "single most important brand today and the cornerstone of our business and we will treat it accordingly."
