Nintendo has been leaning heavily into DLC for Switch games. Since launch, Nintendo has announced a season pass for Breath of the Wild, an expansion pass for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, a host of updates and DLC for Splatoon 2, and more.
Speaking to IGN, Shinya Takahashi, Nintendo's Entertainment Planning and Development Division general manager, explained why DLC has been a good fit for Switch, which is embracing the digital future.
