You may have heard that Monster Hunter Generations is really rather good. It's a game of skill, of patience, of skin-crawling defeat and bellowing victory. Let us prove that to you in condensed form.
What started as the simple challenge of two hunters (one newbie, and one who said he was an expert and then failed to demonstrate that at almost any point) taking on a multiplayer boss designed to be taken down by four players quickly became an epic journey of self-discovery and caffeine-induced tremors.
Here's the whole series, following the travails of Alysia and myself as we stumbled through Monster Hunter's complex, punishing, brilliant systems, and emerging with smiles on our faces and a whole lot of baby animal skins in our pouches.
