If you have even a passing interest in the world of game collecting, you undoubtably have some familiarity with Stadium Events. It's the holiest of holies for Nintendo Entertainment System collectors, and retro-gaming fans without any console allegiance would drop what they're doing to get their hands on a copy.
An ultra-rare copy of the game, sealed in its original shrink wrap, has just been sold for $41,997. According to Kotaku, the game sold on eBay originally, but the buyer never came through with the cash. A private sale was then initiated, and the game changed hands for the princely sum.
