Now that the release Final Fantasy XV is (finally) here, it's the perfect time to do a little time traveling and look back at all the highs, lows and in betweens of FFXV's long and often tumultuous development. The following is a crash course of all the biggest news and updates.
Final Fantasy VX began its notorious ten year development cycle as a Final Fantasy XIII side story. Dubbed "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" and announced alongside of FFXIII at E3 2006, the game was said lead by the team behind Kingdom Hearts II and sported a more action-oriented style.
